Stunning pair of antique/vintage Chinese cloisonné vases with wooden bases – 18 cm – handmade
Description:
A beautiful, decorative pair of traditional Chinese cloisonné vases (cell enamel) on elegant, dark brown solid wood bases.
The vases captivate with fine, detailed craftsmanship. On a classic white background with delicate cloud bands (Guchen pattern), intricate motifs of blooming peonies and birds wind gracefully. The upper vase neck and the base ring are nobly gilded. The underside of the base is traditionally sealed with a blue enamel layer (turquoise blue).
An absolutely timeless and decorative collector’s pair in excellent, age-appropriate condition (no major chips or deep dents in the enamel – see close-up photos).
