Figural mantel clock - Alloy - 1850-1900

This is an antique French 19th-century pendule de style Napoleon III. The material is an alloy with bronze patina; a group of figures—a protective angel and a child—stands on the clock, with a Bible resting on it. The underside is not the original gilding. At the front, one foot is missing; see photo. The clock is signed D. AURENVILLE; he is a clockmaker or clock seller. The striking mechanism is in order. The mainspring of the movement is broken. Therefore the clock is offered as not running.
