Music box - Italy - 1950-1960

Rare vintage pepper mill with integrated music box – ceramic & brass – Italy, ca. 1950–1970 – fully functional

A remarkable and atmospheric collector's piece: this elegant pepper mill with built-in music mechanism combines artisanal craftsmanship with decorative charm. The piece is made from richly decorated ceramic with relief depictions of putti/cherubs, framed by brass elements with a warm, authentic patina. The combination of materials and motifs is typical of Italian mid-century design.

The music box mechanism works perfectly: after turning the mill, a bright, nostalgic melody sounds. The grinding mechanism also functions as intended. This makes the object not only decorative, but also fully usable.
