Description from the seller
Vintage Space Age Graphic Wall Clock – Juwelier Hörl Augsburg (1970s Prototype)
A one-of-a-kind, handmade display clock from the collection of Juwelier Hörl, Augsburg, Germany. This distinctive piece features a bold square design with rounded corners, contrasting bronze-brown panels, a brushed gold-tone centre and twelve raised amber-coloured hour markers beneath domed transparent covers.
The twelve hour markers are particularly eye-catching, with black numerals beneath domed amber-coloured transparent covers, each surrounded by a silver-tone metal bezel. The bold black hands and slender red seconds hand complement the warm colour palette, while the textured wooden base provides a solid foundation.
The design reflects the experimental Space Age and Mid-Century Modern aesthetics of the 1970s, combining geometric forms, contrasting materials and warm metallic finishes. Originally part of a jeweller's display collection, this clock is an unusual decorative object for collectors of vintage clocks and distinctive German design.
