"Perry's Populair Puzzle" refers to a rare, vintage line of wooden jigsaw puzzles from the mid-20th century, published by Perry's Engros Company from Amsterdam.
What you need to know about these specific puzzles:
• Material: The puzzles were made of high-quality triplex wood (plywood). Unlike modern cardboard puzzles, the pieces at the time were cut from wood with a fret saw or special stamping machines.
• Style: They are often so-called continuous-cut push-fit puzzles. This means the pieces flow into one another without traditional 'jigsaw knobs', fitting tightly together.
• Collectors' value: Because these wooden jigsaw puzzles have not been produced for decades, they are today popular collectibles (antique toys). They are sporadically offered on platforms like Marktplaats, eBay, or antique markets. I have personally never seen these two anywhere before.
