Pair of Antique Porcelain Half Doll Pincushions – Pink Satin Dresses – Circa 1920s–1930s – Antique Sewing Collectibles
Description
A beautiful pair of antique/vintage porcelain half doll pincushions, believed to date from approximately the 1920s–1930s, featuring two elegantly modelled ladies with delicate hand-painted facial features and decorative pink satin fabric skirts.
Both dolls display the graceful styling associated with early 20th-century porcelain half dolls, traditionally used as decorative pincushions, sewing accessories and boudoir ornaments.
The two examples complement one another particularly well, with contrasting poses, elaborate period-style hairstyles and attractive pastel colouring.
Both porcelain figures are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
Doll 1 – Elegant Lady with Outstretched Arms and Pink Satin Pincushion
A particularly charming porcelain half doll depicting an elegant lady with softly sculpted blonde hair arranged in an elaborate period-style hairstyle, with delicate curls framing her face.
Her facial features are beautifully hand-painted, with softly coloured cheeks, delicate eyebrows and rose-coloured lips.
