A superb themed collection consisting of 6 collectible items (8 vehicles in total), ideal for enthusiasts of French automotive history and restorers of vintage toys.
The centerpiece of this lot lies in the presence of three authentic vintage Dinky Toys (1950s/1960s), manufactured in France by Meccano. They are presented “as is,” accompanied by more recent collector models (press van and display sets at HO scale).
3 TRUE DINKY TOYS FRANCE:
• Citroën ID 19 Break - Municipal Ambulance (Ref. 556) – Scale 1/43 (1960s)
• Highlights: Complete period model with its original gray plastic stretcher, a removable accessory extremely rare to preserve. The white upper rear hatch opens and works perfectly.
• Condition: Used/play-worn condition. Wear marks and slight chipping on the white paint. Sold without original box.
• Peugeot 203 Sedan - “Small Window” Version (Ref. 24R / 533) – Scale 1/43 (1950s)
• Highlights: Very sought-after historical version characterized by its small rear window. Equipped with its original convex wheels.
• Condition: Advanced playing condition. The body has paint loss. The lower tin chassis shows surface oxidation/rust, ideal for a restoration project. Sold without original box.
• Plymouth Belvedere Bicolor - Green & Black Roof (Ref. 24B / 521) – Scale 1/43 (1950s)
• Highlights: Very beautiful classic American two-tone styling emblematic of Meccano’s late-1950s production. Four original smooth black tires on convex rims.
• Condition: Pronounced playing wear with paint chips (notably on the roof and fenders). The tin chassis shows pronounced oxidation/rust. Sold without original box.
