Sony TC-K490 – serviced 3-head cassette deck

The Sony TC-K490 is a single cassette deck from around 1992 with a separate recording and playback head. This allows you to monitor the signal as you record.

The deck supports Type I, Type II, and Metal cassettes and has Dolby B/C noise reduction and Dolby HX Pro for extra recording headroom.

Also included are AMS music search, bias adjustment, and a Rec Mute function.

The deck has been serviced. It features a frequency response up to 19 kHz with Metal tape, wow & flutter around 0.07% WRMS, dimensions approximately 430 × 123 × 300 mm, and weight approximately 4 kg.
