Description from the seller

A specific model of the Bialetti Brikka moka with a heavy piston-type mechanical valve is in the condition shown in the photo, with evident signs of wear from age and use, and it is working.

In the center of the coffee maker there is a pressostat valve, also known as a crematrice valve. Unlike the classic Moka Express, the Brikka is equipped with this special weighted mechanism mounted on the dispensing column.

The valve's job is to hold the hot water in the boiler until a pressure roughly double that of other moka pots is reached; once the critical threshold is exceeded the valve rises, causing the coffee to flow out at high speed. This process allows the oils of the coffee to emulsify and to achieve the typical rich, dense crema similar to that of a bar.

It is recommended to use the measuring scoop for the correct amount of water as indicated inside the boiler by the water level marks.

Shipping insured and careful.
