A standing Madonna with the Christ Child in her right arm, with a lowered gaze and a mantle that falls in broad folds around her body. The child holds a globe, a reference to Christ’s dominion over creation. The carefully carved hair strands and mantle folds remain clearly recognizable. Across the sculpture are many remnants of old polychromy preserved.
Height: 61 cm; weight: 6.9 kg. Heavily weathered surface with localized losses and craquelure, such as on the back.
