DERONZI & Co – Optical and precision instrument – Clinometer rule with an optical level – 1940s–1950s
DERONZI & Co, a French firm specializing in optical and precision instruments, offers here a rare antique topographic instrument consisting of a long brass rule, gray-painted, integrating a precision optical level mounted on an adjustable support with micrometric knobs. This assembly allowed measuring slopes, vertical angles, and level differences during surveying, leveling, and topographic work.
The instrument is accompanied by its original solid-wood case, carefully assembled, serving both as protection and as a transport support. The interior is arranged to hold the various elements, and the case retains its vintage leather strap, attesting to professional field use.
