Description from the seller
70s vintage acrylic magazine holder in tortoiseshell lucite – Italian design
Splendid and elegant vintage magazine holder from the 1970s, made in lucite with a refined tortoiseshell effect, an authentic example of decorative design from the second half of the 20th century.
Characterized by a sculptural structure with essential geometric lines, it features a single U-shaped element, with two wide parallel vertical panels, each enhanced by a circular opening that visually lightens the composition and makes handling easier.
Of particular charm is the extraordinary coloration of the lucite, in deep dark brown, amber and cognac tones, crossed by irregular and suggestive veins and translucent nuances that, depending on the light incidence, create refined chromatic plays.
The glossy surface further enhances the richness of the shading, giving the object a particularly sophisticated appearance.
A decor object with strong aesthetic character, expression of the modernist taste of the Seventies, when synthetic materials were reinterpreted through innovative and refined forms, giving life to functional objects with remarkable decorative value.
Styling tips: perfect for contemporary, modern and Mid-Century environments, this magazine holder fits beautifully next to leather sofas, vintage armchairs, glass coffee tables or fine wooden furnishings. Also ideal for a professional studio, a private library or a refined living room, where it can be enhanced as an authentic design object, even independent of its original function.
Dimensions: 26 × 29.5 × 10 cm.
Conditions: good vintage condition, with light superficial marks and normal signs of use compatible with the era and the nature of the material. The structure appears intact and retains a splendid shine, with particularly suggestive veins and transparency.
A decorative object of great charm, capable of combining functionality, elegance and personality, especially interesting for vintage design enthusiasts of the 1970s.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and faithfully document the features and the state of conservation of the object.
Professional packaging, accurate and protective, carried out with particular attention to the delicacy of the material, in accordance with the certified competencies of Ankerior Art Logistics in the handling and transport of artworks and cultural assets.
