Basin (6) - Villeroy & Boch - Earthenware

Space Age, seventies design, vintage sanitary ware and German design.
Rare and increasingly hard to find: an original vintage bathroom setup in the distinctive Luigi Colani style for Villeroy & Boch, coming from the iconic bathroom collection introduced in the seventies.

The design is immediately recognizable by Colani’s famous organic, biomorphic styling. No hard straight lines, but flowing shapes that are tuned to the human body. Especially the sculptural basin is a true eye-catcher and a beautiful example of the futuristic Space Age / Bio-Design from that period.

The set includes, among other things, the characteristic ergonomic basin, matching ceramic wall accessories, chrome towel ring and elegant wall lamp(s) with an opaline glass globe and ceramic/chrome fixture. Precisely because several original parts have been kept together, it forms a particularly attractive whole for the collector or enthusiast of 70s design.

The combination of Villeroy & Boch ceramic, chrome and the distinctive Colani style makes this set suitable for reuse in a special bathroom as well as for an interior, design or collection project.

Originating from an existing bathroom and thus with signs of use appropriate to its age; view the photos for the condition. The faucet fits nicely with the set, but its exact designer/manufacturer has not yet been determined.

A beautiful opportunity for lovers of Luigi Colani, Villeroy & Boch, Space Age, seventies design, vintage sanitary ware and German design.

Serious interest and reasonable bids are welcome. Because of size, weight and fragility, collection is preferred.
