Description from the seller
Authentic 12-piece French Art Deco table knife set in the original, characteristic case.
The metal collars (shrouds) between the blade and the handle feature a beautiful, iconic geometric fan pattern (forms an 'M'/'W'). This nicely dates the set to the 1920s-1930s.
Authentic Alliance Monogram: Each blade is hand-engraved with a beautiful, intertwined French monogram with the initials B R or R B. This type of engraving was traditionally used in the 1920s/30s for the initials of a couple and their family name, giving the set a wonderful historical narrative.
Handle material: plastic
Blade material: High-quality stainless steel, stamped with the original French factory mark "Inoxydable Paris".
The set is delivered in the original fabric-lined storage box with a red leather/pebbled texture on the outside and a gold-colored catch.
In very good condition, and razor-sharp.
A unique jewel for a chicly set table or for the enthusiast and collector of historic tableware.
