Description from the seller

Cees Braakman for Pastoe - "Made to Measure" Chest of Drawers (1960s)

A beautiful and rare rendition of the iconic vintage chest of drawers, designed by Cees Braakman for UMS Pastoe (Utrecht) in the 1960s. This specific model is part of the highly sought-after and modular "Made to Measure" series.
The cabinet is finished in warm teak veneer and features the original, distinctive rectangular black handles and a sleek black metal base. A beautiful, recognizable detail are the typical wooden cross-joints on the corners of the cabinet. Thanks to its compact size (width and height of only 61 and 62.5 cm respectively), this low model is extremely rare and perfect as a sideboard, TV stand or nightstand.

The piece is in a nice, original vintage condition with light signs of wear on the veneer (see detail photos). Inside there is the original, square metal "PAS toe" brand plate, which guarantees authenticity.

Dimensions:
Width: approx. 61 cm
Height: approx. 62.5 cm (including legs)
Depth: approx. 45 cm

Good vintage condition – with light signs of use appropriate for its age

Note: This lot must be picked up.

Seller's Story

If something moves me, I buy it. It’s that simple, really. Since 2008 I scour here and abroad, always looking for that one object with a soul. Whether it’s an ancient antique piece or modern design: if it radiates craftsmanship and character, I’m hooked. I enjoy giving these finds a new home. Take a look around, and I hope my passion for quality touches you as well.
