Val Saint Lambert - Charles Graffart & René Delvenne - Vase - Glass - LUXVAL model "Egée"

Art Deco vase model “Egée” from the LUXVAL collection of the Val Saint Lambert glassworks. This vase was made in the 1930s and is executed in clear demi-crystal pressed glass. It is a design by Charles Graffart and Rene Delvenne and is described in the Luxval catalog of 1935. The vase still bears the original Luxval sticker (see photos) and is inscribed on the bottom with “Val St Lambert – Belgium”.

Height 25 cm – diameter 18 cm

The vase is in good condition with hardly any signs of use. It shows air bubbles, crosswise lines and imperfections that are typical for the production process of pressed glass in that era. These are not faults but rather evidence that this vase dates from the 1930s of the last century.
