Description from the seller
This exceptional auprit–malachite ball from the Congo ranks among the rarest and most visually striking mineral formations that the African continent produces. The combination of deep, metallic-looking cuprite and the intensely emerald-green malachite creates a fascinating color and structural world that, in this completion, is found only extremely rarely.
The dark, violet-black to copper-red shimmering cuprite areas give the ball powerful depth and almost mystical shine. In between, the lively greens and turquoises of malachite break through – with the typical, organically grown bands and patterns that make the gemstone so unmistakable. This interplay feels like a natural work of art, reminiscent of planetary structures or abstract paintings.
The high-quality polish brings out the metallic brilliance of cuprite and the velvety glow of malachite particularly impressively. Every viewing angle reveals new details, fine textures, and irregular mineral veins that tell the story of how this rare rock formed.
This ball is a centerpiece with special character – strong, elegant, and full of mineral energy. It is ideally suited as an exclusive collectible, as a luxurious decorative object, or as a representative highlight in stylish rooms.
A unique natural gemstone from the Congo, impressive in its rarity, color intensity, and geological beauty like hardly any other.
