Very Decorative AAA++ Royal Blue Lapis Lazuli Gem Quality, Rough- 10463.25 g

This exceptional rough piece of Lapis Lazuli comes from a high-quality find and shows the typical, coveted features of this legendary stone. The intense, deep blue color – a hallmark of genuine Lapis Lazuli – is especially well highlighted in the photos by lightly dampening the stone. The water enhances the color depth and reveals the complex structure and beauty that is often hard to discern in dry rough stones.

Across the surface there are numerous gold-shimmering inclusions of pyrite, embedded like sparkling specks in the blue. These metallic-looking patches give the stone not only optical elegance but are also a natural quality feature of genuine Lapis Lazuli. The whitish to cream-colored areas consist largely of calcite – a natural component of the rock that forms exciting contrasts to the blue matrix.

The combination of rich blue, golden pyrite veins, and the light calcite veins creates a harmonious yet lively overall picture. In this rough state the stone is excellent for further processing – for example as a grinding blank for jewelry or decorative objects – but also as an impressive collector’s piece for mineral enthusiasts.

Through its natural character and the untreated appearance, this Lapis Lazuli conveys an authentic impression of its geological origin – powerful, primal and unique.
