Amazonite is a variety of feldspar and is particularly valued for its characteristic color palette. Its tones can range from soft greens and turquoise to vivid blue-green.
In this exemplar the color is shown particularly well by the smooth cabochon cut. The curved surface creates a soft shine and makes fine natural structures and small color variations in the stone visible. It is precisely these individual features that give amazonite its natural character.
