Longwy - Rehausse Justin Masson - Cup and saucer (6) - Earthenware, biscuit - Longwy Enamels

Vintage coffee set consisting of a cup and saucer and accompanying octagonal small plates or pastry dishes. These are hand-painted faience with cloisonné-like enameled relief. A characteristic technique of Emaux de Longwy. Decoration is a colorful polychrome floral motif against a bright turquoise blue background with fine outlining. On the underside are the characteristic stamps. It dates from the Art Deco period 1930–1940. The designer of the angular plates is Rehausse J.M. (Justin Masson). This is important evidence of this well-known designer for Longwy pottery.
