Charoite has a very intense and particular purple color with the unique pattern of swirls, feathers and needles. There can be patches of stars in black (Aegerine), orange (Tinaksite) and also transparent crystals (Microcline Feldspar). Due to its rare color change, the Charoite appears very lively, making the piece an exclusive decorative object.
The Charoite was discovered in 1978 and is a very rare mineral that is found only in Siberia, Russia. It is named after the Chara river, which flows past the mountain where it is mined.
