Description from the seller
This extraordinary black opal cabochon captivates with a fascinating, almost flat play-of-color that spans the entire stone. On the light, slightly transparent base, countless fine color flashes in vivid greens, blues, yellows, oranges, and reds appear, with their prominence varying depending on the viewing angle. Particularly characteristic is the dense, mosaic-like color play with numerous small, bright color patches, which gives the cabochon exceptional liveliness and optical depth. The harmoniously rounded shape and the highly polished surface emphasize the brilliance of the colors and allow the color play to appear anew from different perspectives. A striking opal cabochon for collectors and fans of extraordinary opals, which, due to its intense color density and the multitude of shifting hues, possesses a very special radiance.
