Description from the seller
Iconic art print after Paul Klee – “Villa R” (1919)
For sale is a high-quality art print after one of the characteristic works by Paul Klee, one of the most important artists of Classical Modernism.
Paul Klee is among the formative figures of modern art and was closely associated with the Bauhaus and the artist group “Der Blaue Reiter.” His works are characterized by a unique fusion of color, form, and symbolic imagery and retain an exceptionally high recognizability to this day.
The work “Villa R” from 1919 belongs to his early oil paintings and combines representational elements with abstract composition. It depicts a stylized villa in a reduced landscape, threaded with geometric lines, color fields, and symbolic forms – a typical example of Klee’s transition to modern, abstract visual language.
The clear composition, harmonious color scheme, and the playful integration of signs and architecture give the motif a distinctive visual dynamism and timeless modernity.
The present art print impresses with its balanced design and decorative effect. Works after Paul Klee are particularly sought after by modern art collectors and are regarded as style-defining examples of classical modernism.
The format emphasizes the impact of the motif and makes the work a striking focal point for discerning interiors.

Seller's Story
We have been operating several online shops in the art trade for over 20 years. On the one hand, we specialize in rare art prints, exhibition posters and collectible reproductions, and on the other hand, we trade in art editions and originals by well-known contemporary artists.
The works we offer all come from the respective publishers, art galleries and institutions such as museums that published them in close cooperation with the artists. The works you find with us are often several decades old, in perfect or good condition and without a previous private owner.
We place particular emphasis on professional packaging. Nothing is more annoying than purchasing a rare print that arrives damaged due to poor or inadequate packaging.
If you have any questions about the works on offer, we are always happy to help you!
