Description from the seller
Antique Siphon for Seltz produced by the famous company "Sparklets London" - Metal Mesh - Edition for the Italian market (1930s/1950s) model type C
• Material: Heavy glass, protective steel mesh, head and dispensing nozzle in chrome/antimony metal.
This specimen is a rare official version produced specifically for export to Italy, as evidenced by the original Italian inscriptions engraved on the metal collar: "Fill with liquid no more than the line" and "Let the gas in slowly, by shaking vigorously."
The body is made of very thick glass, completely covered by the iconic metal mesh pattern that protected the bottle from internal pressure and facilitated grip.
The item presents in good aesthetic and structural condition, with a beautiful patina of age on the metal that accentuates its vintage decorative and mid-century modern character. It has not been tested for hydraulic operation; it is sold as a collectible piece, for display, or as an exclusive furnishing accessory.
