Description from the seller
Fraraccio Duetto Two-Blade Rare – White ABS – 420 INOX – Early 2000s
Category
Collectible Knives > Traditional Italian Knives > Fraraccio
Description
Splendid and rare Fraraccio Duetto with two blades, produced in the early 2000s within the historic cutlery tradition of Frosolone.
This particular model represents one of the most practical and versatile interpretations of traditional Italian cutlery. Its main feature is the presence of two independent blades: a classic rounded-tip blade for everyday use and a second mozzetta-type blade, a direct nod to the historical knives of Southern Italy, used for centuries in rural activities and daily life.
The specimen features a White ABS handle. The two blades are made of 420 INOX steel, a material appreciated for robustness, corrosion resistance, and practicality.
Thanks to its compact size and double functionality, the Duetto was particularly valued by farmers, breeders, artisans, and workers who needed a versatile tool always available in their pocket. At the same time it accompanied the traditional moments of conviviality typical of Italian culture, when the knife was used to share bread, cured meats, cheeses, and traditional products during outdoor lunches, village festivals, and family gatherings.
A model increasingly difficult to find, especially in this condition of conservation.
