Belgium - Military medal - Three Belgian military medals 1940-1945

* Belgian Medal for the Military Fighter 1940–1945.
The medal honored the members of the Belgian Armed Forces who, after the army's capitulation in May 1940, did not give up the fight.
It was specifically awarded to:
• Soldiers who succeeded in fleeing to Great Britain and joined the Belgian Armed Forces in the United Kingdom (the so-called "Belgians of London", including the Brigade Piron).
• Personnel who fought with the Royal Air Force (RAF), the Royal Navy, or the Allied merchant fleet.
• Soldiers who actively participated in the fighting in Africa (such as the campaigns in Ethiopia/Abyssinia and Congo).
* Belgian Commemorative Medal for Former Prisoners of War (1945–1990), issued by NVOK / FNAPG (National Association of Former Prisoners of War / Fédération Nationale des Anciens Prisonniers de Guerre)
* Belgian Medal for the Military Fighter 1940–1945 (Cross of the Military Fighter / Croix du Combattant Militaire 1940–1945).
