Description from the seller

The statue depicts an ancient king, warrior, or Norse/Breton ruler (often associated with figures such as Vercingetorix, King Arthur, or a Viking), typically made in a patinated metal alloy (bronze or spelter / zamak) from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
• Subject: A bearded sovereign or warrior with helmet/crown, chainmail and cloak, resting his hands on the hilt of a long vertical sword.
• Era and material: It is roughly dated to the period between 1890 and 1910. Many similar pieces of this type were cast in spelter (a zinc alloy commonly used in France for decorative sculptures) or in bronze, mounted on a circular base, sometimes marble.
