Description from the seller
It's one of the most famous silver coins, fascinating and widely used in the history of world trade.
After the death of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria in 1780, the Vienna Mint continued to strike this coin, always keeping the year 1780 'frozen'.
The year printed on the coin (1780) followed by an X (Burgundy cross) added to indicate compliance with the minting monetary treaty.
