Clarice Cliff - Newport Pottery - Art Deco jug / creamer in the 'Autumn' (Balloon Trees) decor - Fantasque Bizarre - ca. 1930 (11 cm)
A rare and sought-after hand-painted ceramic jug / creamer designed by the world-famous Art Deco designer Clarice Cliff for Newport Pottery (Burslem, England).
The piece is executed in the iconic landscape pattern 'Autumn' (also known as Balloon Trees), characterized by stylized trees with orbs in bold black and orange against a green and yellow hillscape. The enamel glaze colors are exceptionally bright and freshly preserved.
The underside features the full factory stamp: Hand Painted - Fantasque by Clarice Cliff - Newport Pottery England and Bizarre.
