Space Age style Murano glass table lamp with green incamiciato glass and a white opaline globe, 70 cm high and 29 cm square, manufactured in Italy in the 1960s–1970s, in good vintage condition and fully functional with original wiring ( bulb not included ).
Description from the seller
Table lamp Space Age in Murano glass encased in green and opaline – Carlo Nason / Mazzega style – Italy, 1970s
Splendid and elegant large Space Age table lamp, crafted in Italy between the late '60s and the '70s. The design, featuring organic and futuristic shapes, strongly recalls the renowned artistic glass creations by Carlo Nason for Mazzega (such as the iconic Birillo series) and the great Italian mid-century modern classics of the era (Pisellino style).
The central body is a masterwork of glassmaking: a cylindrical glass shaft encased in lime/green apple glossy glass, shaped with overlapping bulged rings that create an extraordinary play of volumes and reflections. The lamp is topped with a large spherical diffuser (globe) in white opaline glass, which provides soft, warm, and uniform light diffusion. The two glass elements are joined by a central ring and a circular metal base.
A striking piece of furniture, perfect for enriching design interiors, modern lounges, or vintage lighting collections.
Details and Conditions:
• Period: 1970s
• Country of production: Italy
• Materials: Murano glass / encased artistic glass, opaline glass, metal
• Conditions: Excellent vintage condition. The glass components are intact, with no chips, cracks, or inclusions. The metal retains its shine with minimal, normal signs of age. Original-era electrical system and in perfect working order (uses a bulb with a standard socket, not included).
Measurements: 70h x 29L x 29P
