"Cappuccetto Rosso", "Il Lupo", "La Nonna" and "Il Cacciatore" are part of Massimo Giacon’s fairy tale figurines collection created for the Alessi catalog A di Alessi. The Le Fiabe (Fairy Tales) series is intended for both adults who fondly remember their childhood and children who love playing the characters of familiar stories.

The girl in the red cape ("Cappuccetto Rosso"), the smiling wolf ("Il Lupo"), the grandmother ("La Nonna") and the hunter ("Il Cacciatore") are, of course, characters from the famous Little Red Riding Hood tale, the first story represented in the designs of this magical collection. The four handmade-decorated porcelain figurines presented here have been created in the designer’s characteristic style. Massimo Giacon’s attention to humor, as well as to detail and meticulous finish of his small works of art, make them the perfect gift for children, collectors, and Alessi brand followers.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Little Red Riding Hood, a sweet little girl who wore a red velvet hooded cape. One day, her mother asked her to take wine and focaccia to her sick grandmother who lived in the forest. She warned her not to stray from the path, but upon entering the forest, Little Red Riding Hood met the wolf and began talking to him, telling him where her grandmother lived. The wolf ran to the grandmother’s house, swallowed her in one gulp and dressed in her clothes. Then he lay in bed waiting for Little Red Riding Hood to arrive. When the girl entered her grandmother’s house, she did not recognize the wolf in disguise. Without hesitation, the wolf leapt from the bed and ate the girl; then he returned to bed and began to snore. A wolf hunter happened to pass by. Curious, he approached. Seeing the wolf, he understood that he had eaten the grandmother, so he killed the animal and opened his stomach. Out came the grandmother and Little Red Riding Hood, safe and sound.

Figure new in perfect condition.
