Description from the seller

I propose an elegant and dramatic Fleuron table setting, belonging to the French production of the 20th century and linked to the prestigious Christofle tradition.

The lot consists of a large pierced oval element, featuring a refined radial-motif decoration, a wide smooth central medallion, and an elegant beaded rim. The pierced workmanship gives the piece a particular lightness and elegance.

Completing the composition is a raised stand, also finely worked and equipped with small spherical feet, together with two matching compotes.

The ensemble represents a refined example of French tableware art from the second half of the twentieth century, designed to adorn an important table and also ideal as a decorative collectible item.

Cenni storici

The Fleuron brand was created by Christofle in 1960, following the acquisition of the Gombault maison through Alfénide. Fleuron production remained active until 1987 and was mainly devoted to large silver-plated metalware.
