Produced by the historic manufactory Richard Ginori in the Mondovì line, collection “Paola” – one of the most iconic and today most requested on the vintage and collectibles market.

The decoration “Paola”, attributed to designer Cesare Lacca, fully reflects the taste and lightness of Italian design of the 1950s, with a stylized and dynamic floral motif, entirely hand-painted under glaze. The warm tones of green, brown and orange on an ivory background create a harmonious, rustic and refined effect at the same time, perfect for those who love the authenticity of vintage Italian ceramics.

Hand-painted underglaze – Made in Italy

Elegant complete dinner service for 12, made by the historic manufactory Richard Ginori in the Mondovì series, collection “Paola”, here offered in the magnificent decoration “Anemoni”.

An ensemble with authentic charm, in which the tradition of Italian ceramics meets a lively, highly distinctive floral decoration. The large blue and pinkish-red anemones, accompanied by green leaves and ochre yellow, run along the borders, creating a harmonious, rustic and at the same time refined effect.

The decoration is entirely hand-painted under glaze, as stated by the mark on the bottom: “Hand Painted Underglaze – Mondovì – Richard Ginori – Made in Italy”. The visible brushstrokes, the shading of the petals and the small variations in the stroke give each element the character of the manual workmanship.

The full service for 12 also includes the serving pieces visible in the photographs. A composition of remarkable presence, capable of transforming the table into a floral and scenographic ensemble, beautiful even to display in a cabinet.

The service is in very good overall condition, with numerous pieces in excellent state. A widespread crazing of the glaze is noted; some plates also show yellow-orange stains and spots, surface marks and signs of use, as documented in the photographs. These imperfections should be considered in assessing the conservation status, while leaving the overall beautiful decorative presence.

A service rich in color, history and personality, perfect for those who love vintage Italian ceramic and the pleasure of a curated, warm and welcoming table.

The service comprises 40 pieces in total:

• 12 flat plates
• 12 soup plates
• 12 starters or dessert plates
• 1 serving/lettuce bowl
• 1 square tray with rounded corners
• 1 oval tray
• 1 round service plate

40 pieces. (Extremely rare to find in this completeness)
