Frank Herbert (thème) - Board game - Dune - Paper

A very beautiful lot dedicated to one of the greatest classics of strategy games: Dune, inspired by the famous Frank Herbert novel. This lot brings together two emblematic editions, allowing one to appreciate the evolution of this game that has become a cult among strategy enthusiasts and collectors.
The original Avalon Hill edition (1979) constitutes a historical reference in board games. It is offered with its game components, rules, battle wheels, cards, tokens and its many accessories. The box shows normal signs of use and aging, while the contents are well preserved.
The newer French edition (Descartes/Canal+) is in remarkable condition. The token boards are entirely unpunched, evidencing very limited, or even non-existent, use. The components are very clean and the game elements are particularly well preserved.
Recognized for its strategic depth, its innovative mechanisms and its strong immersion in Frank Herbert's universe, Dune is regarded as a major title in the history of board games. Bringing together these two editions in a single lot represents a wonderful opportunity, both for a collector and for a strategy game enthusiast.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow one to appreciate the overall condition as well as the contents of the lot.
