Inkwell - Marble

An attractive Art Deco desk inkstand, provisionally dated circa 1920–1935, featuring a stylised theatrical figure holding an open fan beside a crescent moon. Mounted on a rectangular grey marble base with a recessed pen tray, the stand incorporates an octagonal metal inkwell with a hinged lid and removable glass liner retaining traces of old ink. The patinated metal fittings show warm golden highlights and wear consistent with age and use. Measuring approximately 22 cm in length and 12 cm in depth, this is a decorative writing accessory with distinctive theatrical character.
