Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Pair of freestanding solid wood mirrors from Italy dating to 1850–1900, featuring a richly carved shell and floral pediment with radiating acanthus scrolls and a continuous twisted rope-like surround, with external dimensions 51 × 28 cm, internal 43 × 16 cm and a depth of 5 cm, in good used condition with age-related marks.
Description from the seller
Pair of solid wood freestanding console mirrors.
The scenographically beautiful in form, the frames feature a curvilinear shaping, their focal point a bold, richly carved pediment with a floral motif and a stylized shell (palmette) with deep radial fluting that creates a strong play of light and shadow.
At the base of the shell develop two opposing volutes with acanthus scrolls, elegantly linking the pediment to the rest of the structure.
The entire perimeter of the mirror is enclosed by a dense twisted-work or "rope-work" pattern, executed with regular oblique and rounded incisions. This continuous decoration gives dynamism and volume to the structure, framing the mirror.
The finish with a dark patina that over time has taken on fascinating warm tones.
The perfect symmetry of the two elements offers extraordinary versatility in décor, making them ideal both for completing rooms in a historic style and as sophisticated contrasting elements in contemporary interior design projects.

They will be shipped carefully packed and insured.
NB. As these are antique objects, there may be cracks, stains, small missing parts, signs of age. Please view the photos carefully.
