Description from the seller

Unique Piece of Art and Collecting – Custom Redesign of Vintage Design.
In the auction: an analog Kodak Brownie Movie Camera Turret f/1.9 (8mm), transformed into a pop-art, retro-design work conceived as a tribute to the two iconic Beatles-era cities: Liverpool and London.
The concept and design:
following the iconography of the 1950s and 1960s, this project aims to celebrate two of the most photographed and filmed metropolises in the history of cinema and popular music, essential destinations for global tourism for all Beatlemania enthusiasts.
Mathew Street & The Cavern Club (spring-loaded side): offers a historical view of Liverpool with the signage of the famous Cavern Club, cradle of the band. Street scene / Abbey Road Style (film reel side): an atmospheric urban scene from the early 60s with shops and passersby that evokes the London lifestyle and streets of the early 1960s.
The graphic work was carefully selected from several design options and was intentionally refined with desaturated tones, preserving an authentically vintage flavor and perfectly integrated with the satin metal and chrome finishes of the camera.
Restoration and technical materials: decoration with an innovative high-strength synthetic coating has been added to the original leatherette: it is waterproof and resistant to wear, tactile contact, and oily substances associated with use. It allows handling and using the camera calmly without risking damage to the graphics.
Technical Specifications:
Brand/Model: Kodak Brownie Movie Camera – Turret f/1.9
Film Format: Standard 8mm (Double 8)
Turret: 3-lens/orientable converters system (Standard f/1.9 9mm, Wide Angle and Telephoto Converter)
Top folding viewfinder in transparent plastic with colored framing
Mechanism: Manual wind (mechanical); the camera functions but speed has not been tested with specific instruments.
Production: Made in England
Aesthetic condition: good art-condition, chrome finishes well preserved, sharp and elegant graphics with era-coherent patina.
