Description from the seller
Antique French Enamelled Glass Jewelry Box – Gilded Floral Décor – Napoleon III – circa 1880-1900
A splendid antique French glass jewelry box from the fin de siècle (late 19th century), executed in the elegant Napoleon III style. The round box is made of a beautiful, bright green glass and mounted in an authentic brass frame with a well-working hinge and a front roller-lock.
Both the domed lid and the raised sides are masterfully hand-decorated. The relief décor consists of finely enameled white-pink blossoms surrounded by lush, hand-painted gold tendrils, leaves, and clean outlines.
