Laguioles - Salad servers (2) - stainless steel - 1960-1970

Original ensemble consisting of two sets of cutlery with a singular character.

The first includes six Laguiole-style table knives, with metal blades marked “Laguiole,” blue synthetic handles, and gold-colored fittings. They are presented in a black rigid case with a red interior, bearing the gold inscription “Véritables Laguiole de table.”

The second box contains a serving spoon and a serving fork with handles made from genuine taxidermied animal paws, preserving their tawny brown fur and black hooves. The polished metal parts contrast with these atypical naturalized handles. The whole is presented in a decorative case with botanical and animal motifs, with a red interior.

This lot combines place settings and curiosities, likely to interest collectors of table arts, antique cutlery, and unusual objects.

Period: 1970

Condition: signs of use, superficial scratches on the metal parts, patina on the fittings and wear marks on the cases. The animal-paw handles show signs of age. Overall condition visible in the photographs.
