Description from the seller
Kodak Brownie 8mm Movie Camera II – Reinterpreted Artistic Edition "Roman Holiday" / Italian Cinema of the 1950s
For vintage cine camera collectors and lovers of classic Italian cinema, we offer a unique and exclusive piece: an analog Kodak Brownie 8mm Movie Camera II (13mm f/2.3 lens) expertly reinterpreted in artistic and conceptual key.
This specimen has undergone a careful design study aimed at celebrating the golden age of post‑war Italian cinema and the charm of the rebirth of the "Dolce Vita". The interpretive concept draws direct inspiration from the cinematic masterpiece Roman Holiday (1953), a historical period perfectly coherent with the camera’s original production era.
After a careful selection among various graphical options, an iconic pattern depicting vintage Roman scenes in black and white/sepia was chosen and applied: on one side the famous Vespa ride through the Capital’s narrow streets, on the other the majestic view of the Colosseum.
Innovative technical materials:
the camera body has been clad with an innovative durable technical material, specially designed to provide a pleasant tactile sensation and ergonomic handling during grip, offering good durability properties and resistance to the attack of oily substances.
Technical Features:
Brand/Model: Kodak Brownie 8mm Movie Camera II
Format: 8mm film (Standard 8 / Double 8)
Lens: 13mm f/2.3
Foldable transparent sport finder with framing edges
Operation: mechanical manual wind (spring-powered), functioning but not tested with film or technical instruments
Aesthetic conditions: fair (custom/reinterpreted design with technical finish)
