Description from the seller
porcelain lady music student in Capodimonte style – Dress in stiffened fabric – Rococo style
Elegant decorative figurine depicting an aristocratic lady of the eighteenth century, seated on a refined rococo-style chair while playing a string instrument.
The figure features a finely molded and painted face, an elaborate eighteenth-century hairstyle, and a rich dress in shades of pink and burgundy.
Particularly interesting is the realization of the skirt, made from real fabric that has been stiffened and fixed to the structure, arranged in numerous folds and drapery to reproduce the effect of a sumptuous period dress.
The composition is embellished with three-dimensional floral appliqués in delicate pastel colors, raised ornamental details, and gold decorations.
The chair features a blue back, white frame, and gilded moldings. The contoured base is decorated with Rococo motifs.
