Murano: 2 Appliques
Made by a Murano master glassworker in the 1980s with transparent glass and light-green decorations and very rich inclusions of fine gold.
They have an extraordinary golden glow due to the wealth of gold included in the glass, in keeping with the traditional Murano technique.
Very rich in detail. They were in the workshop of a Murano furnace that closed in the early 2000s, but were made much earlier.
First appliqué: two arms, 3 low curved leaves and in the center a flower and two tall leaves. Height: 43 cm. Width: 43 cm. Depth: 28 cm.
Second appliqué: one arm, 4 low curved leaves and in the center a flower and two tall leaves. Height: 43 cm. Width: 25 cm. Depth: 35 cm.
Note: a tall spare leaf is also included.

I mainly collect Murano chandeliers thanks to the collaboration with some companies that restore apartments and palaces in Venice. In this way, over time, I have recovered the chandeliers of elegant and often ancient houses in the lagoon and in the nearby areas.
Murano glass has an incomparable charm: every piece, even the simplest, has a story hidden in its fragility and its iridescent light.
