These vases are made of hand-blown glass that has been cold-worked or acid-etched, with a frosted finish and a distinctive 'ice' or 'scratched' texture (often referred to as corrosive glass, excavated, or frosted/satin finish). The color gradation ranges from cobalt blue/dark blue at the base to a pale blue shade toward the top.
They recall Murano craftsmanship (Venice) or Northern European/Scandinavian artistic productions from the second half of the 20th century (roughly the 1960s–1980s).
External satin/coral finish with micro-cracks and the body slightly ribbed/knurled.
