Description from the seller
Splendid and iconic piece of Italian industrial design from the mid-20th century: a vintage 2-cup Mignon coffee maker, produced by the famous company O.M.G. (Officine Meccaniche Gozzano) in the 1950s. This object perfectly represents the ingenuity and aesthetics of the Italian economic boom. Entirely made of polished aluminum, it stands out for its original geometric structure: a solid shaped base that directly accommodates the cups during dispensing, a central boiler body, and the characteristic double beak with a duck-bill spout to serve two coffees simultaneously. The final touch of color and style is given by the burgundy/red bakelite screw knob on top, perfectly preserved. On the base the factory marks are clearly visible incised into the metal, including the inscription "MIGNON", the patent number, and the Italian production designation, details that certify its authenticity and historical value. A true object of reverence for collectors of vintage coffee machines or for lovers of mid-century modern and Made in Italy design, ideal both for display and as an interior décor element for characterful kitchens and shop windows.
