Three wooden stools in red, blue and natural finishes, with varying dimensions and weights, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and stains.
Description from the seller
Three very decorative milk stools. The red and blue stools probably date from the 1960s or 1970s, the white stool is likely younger. Because this last stool is still almost in new condition, it may never have been used and has always stood in the dark. The white and red stools are probably made of ash (not certain) and the blue stool appears to be made of oak. All three stools have a classic look, with the shape of old-fashioned industrial stools, by the design, with the cut-off corners, so that no sharp wood pricks against the legs of the person sitting on them.
THE SIZES
Red stool:
weight: 1300 g
height: 31 cm
width: 22 cm
depth: 18 cm
Blue stool:
weight: 1600 g
height: 23 cm
width: 26 cm
depth: 20 cm
White stool:
weight: 1400 g
height: 33.5 cm
width: 21.5 cm
depth: 17 cm
Whether the stools were made as milk stools is doubtful, but they have the form for it. You can regard them as stools; they are sturdy enough for that, but they can also serve nicely as plant stands or pedestals (see photos). However, the patina of this stool is so beautiful that it is already a decorative piece in itself for the interior!
The blue and white stools still look fantastic. The blue stool shows only logical signs of use, and the white stool is almost as new. The latter is also untreated. The red stool, however, shows a lot of signs of use. Not only has the paint disappeared in many places, but the top of one leg has chipped off into the hole in the seat (see photos) and two legs have wormholes on the underside. These worms have been removed. The underside of one leg is quite deteriorated (see photo) and also on the front of the top a patch is quite damaged (see photos). All damaged wood has been fixed and stabilized. The stool is still stable enough to serve as a plant stand. The blue and white stools can support an elephant!
These milk stools are very beautiful decorative pieces but also functional objects and can, as mentioned, be used as pedestals on which a small artwork, a vase or a plant is placed. They can even be used as low occasional tables (see photos).
In any interior, these stools are very decorative pieces of furniture!
These milk stools are expertly packed and insured shipped.
