Natural petrified wood as a sphere – intense grain with exceptionally high contrast.- 4915.17 g

This impressive sphere of petrified wood combines the original structure of ancient tree substance with an exceptionally vibrant color palette. The characteristic grain of the wood is clearly preserved and runs across the surface in dynamic, sometimes flowing lines—a fascinating glimpse into growth structures that have mineralized over millions of years.

In color, the piece presents a particularly intense combination of deep red, warm brown- and copper-toned hues, as well as dark, almost black patches. Between them run light, sometimes cream-colored and slightly translucent zones, which add depth to the overall image. The grain appears at times almost as if painted with a brush, creating an impressive visual movement within the stone.

Fine natural lines and welds traverse the surface and underscore the authentic character of this material without disturbing the harmonious overall impression. The high-quality polish brings the colors out with strength and provides a glossy surface that softly reflects light.

Through the combination of clearly recognizable wood structure, intense coloring and the uniform spherical form, it becomes a particularly expressive and rare collectible piece with high decorative presence.

Petrified wood is traditionally associated with durability and grounding—qualities that subtly reflect in the calm, powerful aura of this extraordinary sphere..

Extraordinary Quartz Hand Polished Sphere of Petrified Wood

Origin: Madagascar

It is a fossil wood dating back 200 million years, all parts from a log or branches have been silicified, meaning that organic components were little by little replaced by silicon in the form of jasper, chalcedony and more rarely opal. Without the organic parts, all the living matter was replaced by stone : there are growth rings, cell separations, almost like worm cracks.
Its features are those of the mineral that would have pseudo-transformed the wood : the silicon.
And that’s what we call a "petrified wood" in the common language.
