AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A powerful Kozak carpet in the main colors red-brown and indigo from Northwest Turkey. Since the 11th century, the Kozak, a Turkic people from the Caucasus, have settled in Northwest Turkey. Their carpets and kilims still carry the colors and motifs of their original homeland. From top to bottom, in the red-brown hexagon, a Tree of Life is depicted. The Tree of Life represents the wish for a long and happy life. The tree consists of Yin-yang, fertility, protective symbols, and at the center the star, a symbol of prosperity and fertility. The star is traditionally the representation of the womb of the Earth Goddess. In the kilim border above, three amulets are depicted. Amulets are protection against the evil eye and malicious gossip. The dense, mid-height pile makes this rug exceptionally suitable for the floor. The wool provides warmth in winter and coolness at the hems.
