Philips - Table lamp (2) - Milan - Plastic, Metal

A pair of postmodern table lamps by Philips from the 1980s, the Milano model or alternatively the FGG 200, often also referred to as the Z-Lamp. The French-made model (protected design / modèle déposé) comes from Philips’s in-house Corporate Industrial Design Team and is strongly inspired by the Italian Memphis style of that era. The lamps are characterized by a wedge-shaped base made of gray or anthracite plastic, Class II construction, and a distinctive tiltable light arm made of red metal. Each lamp measures about 24 x 16 x 7 centimeters. Operation runs on the European power grid at 220 volts and 50 hertz via a power cord. The sale is without a light source. According to the manufacturer’s note on the underside, each lamp requires a compact fluorescent lamp with a power rating of 9 or 11 watts and the appropriate plug-in socket of type PL-S.
