Up for auction: A beautiful, complete 60-piece silver-plated flatware and serving set by the prestigious French luxury maison Christofle Paris, in their iconic and highly exclusive Empire pattern: Malmaison.
Based on the official hallmarks (the square "OC" knight mark and the Class I quality mark), this set is an authentic vintage service from the 1970s/1980s.

The set is in a very neat, vintage condition with some normal, light signs of use and minor surface scratches fitting its age. It is completely free from any deep dents or structural damage, and there is no wear to the silver plating (no base metal showing through).

Please note: The set has deliberately not been polished. It still retains its authentic dark tarnish (oxidation) from storage. As shown in the hallmark photos and the polished sample pieces, the thick Class I silver plating underneath is in great condition and can easily be brought back to a mirror-like shine using a soft silver cloth or a silver bath. The set does not include a storage box.
