Vintage illuminated sign "Il Caffè Mokito Milano" - Lightbox - Aluminium

Beautiful and rare vintage advertising light sign for indoor/window display from the historic Milanese coffee roasting company Mokito, founded in Milan in 1915. An iconic piece of Italian bar memorabilia and mid-century design, perfect for collectors, vintage enthusiasts, or for decorating home bars, kitchens, and industrial-styled spaces.
The sign consists of a transparent plexiglass panel with black and gold screen-printed lettering ("IL CAFFÈ MOKITO MILANO"), topped by an aluminum housing profile containing the lighting system. It is ready to be hung from the ceiling or in a shop window thanks to its original metal chain.
Condition Report and Details:
• Dimensions: 38.5 cm (width) x 28.5 cm (height, including the top profile).
• Working Order: The sign is perfectly working. The light propagates from the top housing through the plexiglass panel, beautifully highlighting the colors of the graphics and creating a striking, warm golden effect (as shown in the pictures with the light turned on). Comes with its original power cord and standard European plug.
• Plexiglass: Structurally sound, with no cracks or breaks. It shows minor and normal surface marks/micro-scratches due to age and authentic use, which do not compromise its overall appeal and attest to its vintage status.
• Notes: Please note that one of the two side end-caps is missing from the top aluminum frame (the other one is present). This is a purely cosmetic flaw that does not affect the stability or the electrical functionality of the sign.
The item will be packed with the utmost care (bubble wrap and reinforced box) to ensure safe transit. Tracked shipping across Europe.
